Guest guest
http://www.purdueexponent.org/index.php/module/Section/section_id/10?module=article & story_id=2662 Welcome to a professional's world, right!?! I can speak as a police officer, professional life is about change, staying abreast and marketable, etc., etc., is a part of every competetive market. Education, for the most part, is using an outdated paradigm in our country and is behind the times in a lot of ways...not to say there isn't a lot of good going on too. But being a police man, 9/11, etc., radically changed our profession, what we had to know and do, etc., etc., not to mention regular everyday things that changed our professional lives, like case-law, etc. No one gives us classes on that stuff or gives you any options and we have no professional insurances like a lot of other professions do, you better know it, follow it, and buy-in...while I feel for some of these students who might have to take an extra class or two or delay their original graduation date, it's like anything else, no one begged us to take the job we do (for the most part), you volunteered (if you did it for the right reasons it shouldn't end up being a big deal). Just my two-cents worth...Me Shane M.D. "Light travels faster than sound, this is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak..." Yesterday is history, tomorrow a mystery, today is a gift hence it is called the present. *None of us is as smart as all of us* Check out some of my work at: http://photos./smdscott141
