Guest guest
Marjann, I think you would use 1 heaping TBS in your yogurt or make a shake 2 times a day. What I do is 1 tbs in a little juicy juice or orange juice diluted with water and add frozen fruit and blend it up....not bad. Don't forget to add the Glutamine and citricel in it too. /Mich 7/10/02 278/218 From: " Marjann Hitchcock " <MSMARJ2@...> Reply- < > Subject: PROTIEN POWDER Date: Wed, 6 Nov 2002 18:19:25 -0500 I bought the protein powder from GNC but how do you use it? Guest guest
Jen, I did not like it at all. You are supposed to use the liquid the first 10 days. I could't do it. PLEASE... buy one and try it before you buy up a bunch. I have a pantry full and can't stand it. Others here like it just fine. I did much better with canned soup, cooked and draining the liquid. Then I added the unjury protein powder to kick up the protein count. If you decide to do this, just make sure you dilute the protein powder with a couple of tablespoons of water before adding it to the hot liquid or it will clump. Good luck. I was banded on June 5th. I am down 40 lbs. Starting weight 248. Current weight 208. Goal: 140. Burson Pampered Chef Independent Consultant http://www.pamperedchef.biz/carrieb Protien Powder Hi, i am scheduled Oct 1st for the band and I am in the process of trying to get all my supplies ready. I have read from numerous posts that people like Isopure. I have looked it up and I am a little confused. Do you take the Isopure Powder or the clear beverage that come in a glass bottle? What are your favorite flavors? Is there another brand you prefer? I have a bit of a sweet tooth. Thanks for your help.jen
Guest guest
Jen I personally hate all of the flavors even though this is one of the best brands. I buy the unflavored and mix it with k2o pink lemonade or sprinkle on my food...careful not to add to much because there is a flavor to it. Beware of ones in walmart etc because they have too many calories and fat. Even though they are expensive the protein bullets with 27 grams of whey protein from GNC are really good. I like the fruit punch flavor. The ones with 42 taste like penicillin to me. Also just do the best you can after surgery most people can't get enough protein until after the first month. As you get hungrier up the protein...this will help keep you from being and angry person! Hope this helps some. banded 3/15/08 245/183/145 From: jennorwood <JenNorwood@...>Subject: Protien Powder Date: Friday, September 5, 2008, 10:47 PM Hi, i am scheduled Oct 1st for the band and I am in the process of trying to get all my supplies ready. Guest guest
Jen, I thought the Isopure that comes in glass bottles already made up tasted like watered down kool-aid. I didn't mind them at all. I used the Isopure Powder in the second stage - after clear liquids. Peanut butter chocolate was my favorite Hope that helps.
