This morning I had to attend a yearly seminar for work and when I was

getting dressed I looked in my hose drawer and all I had was some

regular Queen size support pantyhose. I knew there was no way they

would fit (since I had been wearing 4X Queen last year and they were

stretched to the max) but I tried to put them on anyway.......TA DA

they not only fit but fit better than any have in many years!!!

Since the hose were a success I desided to put on a straight short

skirted dress (one of the beautiful dresses loaned to me by my

littermate Robin) and I really felt very sexy! This was the first

time my knees have been below my skirt hem in 20 years or more! Wow

what a day!!! I came home and desided to try on some swinsuits that

Eileen loaned me. I had gotten them several weeks ago but didnot have

the nerve to even try them on for myself....well to make a long happy

story short I didnot look as bad as I thought....now I have to get

the nerve to actually go out in public!!!

Just wanted to share the small steps I took today!!

Small steps? BIG steps. Sounds like BIG progress to! That is wonderful!

It's those SURPRISE moments that are the BEST too! I love putting something

on and it looks TOO BIG and I never even thought about it!

Bathing suits are an especially frightening subject around me....BUT now I am

doing water aerobics and wear one 5x a week and have gotten past the scary

part...the first time! I think we have a hard time seeing that we are

losing....but it's those TADA times that are like, " Hey HOT MAMA you are

doing good " ..hehheehehe

year at the MGB picnic. My friend with me, Charlene, was so impressed with

you. She has not had surgery and I don't know if she will since RR isn't

doing surgery right now. She was pretty set on it up until all this stuff

happened. She has investigated some other surgeries and says there is no way

she would have it done in Greenville nor would she have it done open. So, I

don't know what is in store for her. Right now she's doing WW with my sister

and I.

Just want to say hello and wish you well.

Great going there, Glo. I bet you look great. I know the fear about public

and a bathing suit. I just bought a new suit yesterday. It's a beauty.

But, then you add this much-improved-but-miles-to-go body, and it isn't

pretty. When did my thighs turn to crepe paper???? All those cute little

delicate folds!! Yuck! And there's that belly, sticking out ahead of its

place, and those wings, and tiny little tattas hiding under the fabric. Sup

with this? Aww well. I'm going out, I'm wearing a bathing suit, I'm

swimming and cavorting and having fun, and those who can't handle the sight

will just have to close thier eyes! Imma enjoy myself this summer! And you

will too, I know. We've come a long way, and we're not yet at the finish

I enjoy looking at my hands as well, they are so thin and pretty. It is the

" little things " that make us happy, huh?

Life is good these days. I know that sometimes I experience " little things "

such as watching the bones move in my hands. And there isn't anyone around

me that can totally relate. The few times I have said something to those

around me they just look and say wow. So I know that they just can't

appreciate the little things we are experiencing. But I am so happy for

you. Keep up the good work and posts.
