I wish I could say the same. I am much slower. But I am loosing the same,

it may take me longer but as long as it keeps going down, and I do not gain I

am happy, I have been at a stand still for almost 8 weeks now. Today , I

think it is starting to move down again,, I will see if it lasts in the

morning, then I can say for sure . , are you coming to the picnic?

Hope to meet you there.

Today is my 6 months -- ALREADY!!! I can hardly believe it!!! :) On

3/08/01 - I weighed a whopping 312 pounds. Thanks to Dr. R (and God) this

morning I weighed 192! That is a grand total of 120 pounds in 6 short

months - Even if I never lose another lb - I am a success!!!

Hubby thinks I am pretty darn good looking!

Congrats to all who share my date!!

Congratulation ,

Sounds like you and I are doing about the same weight loss wise. Are you

coming to the picnic? I have that picture we all took with Dr. R and I can

bring you a copy if you want. Good to hear from you.

Pat,

Thanks for the congrats. I'm trying to make up my mind about the

picnic... we're trying to get our house ready to put on the market

because we want to move to Atlanta later this year. We have been

sooo busy with working on the house, I have been torn about going to

the picnic. I would love to meet everyone at the picnic, but I'm

still undecided at this point. I know I need to make a decision in

the next few days, so the pressure is on.

I would love to have a copy of the picture!

Thanks again,

I had my surgery on March 15, 2001. To date, I've lost 88 pounds

and feel great. I took my measurements this morning and have lost 9

inches from my chest, 11 inches from my waist, 10 inches from my hips

and 8 inches from each thigh. I'm pleased with the results. I had

blood work done yesterday but don't expect to find anything unusual

to report there. I won't have an endoscopy until 12 months postop.

On a sadder note, my father died unexpectedly this morning (age 74).

My Dad was so very proud of me for having lost so much weight. I

come from an obese family and my Dad would brag to everyone about how

much I'd lost and how great I look. You have no idea how happy I am

that I was able to give him this small pleasure before he died.

Thank you, Dr. Rutledge.

Molly,

I'm so sorry to hear about the death of your father. My thoughts are

with you during this difficult time.

I'm glad he was able to share in your weight loss progress. I know

how worried our parents are about us carrying extra weight so I'm

sure it gave him great pleasure that you are well on your way to a

slimmer Molly.

Molly,

I am so sorry to hear about your father's death. How wonderful he got to see

you get healthy. I lost my Dad three years ago and you NEVER get old enough

to lose a great daddy....You are in my thoughts and prayers.

WAY TO GO PENNY!!!! I am so happy for you!!!! I hope my experience is as good as yours and others here. I don't even know anyone here personally but I love coming here and reading and listening. We are so much alike and have so much in common with such different lives. I am so thankful for finding all of you and I look forward to meeting Dr. A, Nina and all the others at the hospital. Oh, by the way I have EXTREME heartburn!!!!! I have taken alka seltzer with no help. Any suggestions out there??? IT BURNS!!! Tammy Irish Penny Manville <pmanvill@...> wrote: Hi All,Just a note to let everyone know my 6 month bandiversary was yesterday. I have lost 46 lbs. (not quite my goal of 50 in 6 months but close). I have

had 2 fills which equal 1.5 cc and I think I need another one (fill appointment is April 21). I have lost a lot of inches but don't know how to figure it. Anywho, I can fit in a size 12 stretch jeans (down from size 20-22) and I have had to buy new smaller sized bras and panties! (sorry, guys!) I have a lot more energy and most of my aches and pains are gone! I have not taken any pain meds including liquid Tylanol since the day I left Almater Hospital. I want everyone to know that I don't regret having the lapband surgery even for a minute! AND I am 66 years old! I love my band and can NEVER thank Dr. Aceves and his staff enough for changing my life. I also want to thank ALL of you on this message board for your words of encouragement and caring support for people you don't even know. What a great group you are! I am soooo looking forward to meeting many of you

this summer at our reunion!PennyDOB 9/26/05230/184 (finally)/1352 fills = 1.5 cc
