Guest guest
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I know this must be a very difficult time for you. You are in my thoughts and prayers. V Carmen In Atlanta's Sad Loss Hi Everyone, June has been a tremendously difficult month for me. I was in the hospital numerous times for fluids and vitamins due to the hyperemesis(excessive throwing-up). On June 14 I lost the baby. I had lost down to 118 pounds. I started having severe abdominal pains and learned that I was loaded with gallstones. I managed to quickly gain back up to 126. But then on June 21 I had my gallbladder removed and it has been downhill since then. My recovery for some reason has been extremely difficult. And to top it off since the surgery, everytime I eat I get very, very sick. I have lost back down to 120 pounds. Today I had 2 bites of raisin bran and a few peices of lettuce. It made me so sick just to eat that. I spoke to the surgeon who did the surgery and he told me just to eat bland, light foods. That was no help at all. I need a reason for why this is happening. I am going to make an appointment with my regular doc this week and see what he recommends. I am able to keep water down and juice and milk without getting sick most of the time. I am kind of scared at this point because I feel like I am wasting away. Every other day is weight loss. I am very week and the circles under my eyes are so black and purple its awful. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. It may take me some time to get back with you guys because I am in bed the majority of the time. Hope everyone else is doing well, please keep me in your prayers. Carmen In Atlanta
Guest guest
Carmen, I am so sorry about your loss. Take care of yourself. It's hard to see God's plan in all of this, but keep your eyes on Him. My prayers and thought are with you. What does Dr. Rutledge say? I'd e-mail him if I were you. Guest guest
Carmen I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Please go see your doctor. Your loss of appetite may be due to grief also. Just hang in there. My prayers are with you. Carmen In Atlanta's Sad Loss Hi Everyone, June has been a tremendously difficult month for me. Guest guest
Carmen, I'm so sorry to hear you are not doing well. Maybe you should get in touch with Dr. R or Dr. O....can't remember which one did your MGB. Maybe this throwing up stuff is the leftovers from the hyperemesis. I sure hope so and hope that you can get some strength back soon. I'm so very sorry that you lost the baby. I pray that God will comfort you during this time of loss. You were such a strong supporter for everyone back about this time last year when so many of us were waiting for our surgery. I always loved the prayer lists that you kept going. That's what we will all have to do for you....is lift our voices in prayer for your recovery. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you! Guest guest
Carmen, My thoughts and prayers are with you. I'm no expert and I still have my gallbladder but when my friend had her surgery it took her a while to get back to normal. I know you are scared but try not to panic, your weight is not dangerously low yet. I feel certain things are going to look up for you.
