Shane, you made me cry, what you shared was so very touching. You are such a wonderful person, please believe me. Please accept that I believe in you, and I think you're doing a great job as a parent, (from what I understand). let me know off list your concerns if any. I'll keep you and your family in prayer.

Yours Truly,

Being a dad, or even a parent, this reduced me to nothing...my two year old was sitting in my lap and said, "daddy, what's wrong? Why are you crying?" I tried to explain sometimes when you are happy you cry too. She said, "Daddy, I make you feel better" and hugged and kissed me, then said, "I wipe your tears". She then asked if I was okay and said, "It will be okay".

Shane:

Thank you for sharing such a

remarkable story!! I think I cried a river but that’s a good thing. It

reminds me of how we see our children differently than the rest of the world,

just like the way our Father in heaven sees us. If any of us ever need a wakeup

call this is it. May everyone who learns of this story be as moved as I am. Thank

you so much for sharing it.

Shane --

Okay, I'm in the middle of planning for a school meeting from Hades tomorrow, and I saw your message. At first, I couldn't access the video, but I tried again later, and wow....it is not often that I'm rendered speechless, but well, this is me speechless.

Here's to all the great fathers out there....my hat is off to each and every one of you.

Shane,

The video was so beautiful! Thanks so much for sharing!

BTW, wishing to be more is what it's all about. Wishing means hope. What more do we have? After all the news about breakthroughs in genetics, diets, therapies, etc. We all know that for now, we all hope to find that one thing that works. In the meantime, we carve "punkins" celebrate birthdays, and hang Christmas lights. Wishing to be more makes us who we are. It took a long time for me to reconcile with the fact that my life wasn't going to play out like a scene from a Stouffer's commercial. Pumpkin carving is a messy job. I realized that it is NEVER like a commercial WITH OR WITHOUT autism. Forget the mess! Who cares if the jack-o-lantern has three eyes? We had fun! actually stuck his hand in the GOO!

So, in the words of a very wise angel. "It will be okay."

I know it will be okay, as long as we keep wishing!

Thanks so much for the therapeutic cry!
