New to this group & need help

Hi everyone,

I'm hopefully that someone out here can give me hand. I'm a single

parent of 2 girls, Caitlin-13 and -17. has had multiple

diagnosis over the years - starting at 7 with ADHD. Since then, the

drs/counselors have added Bi-polar disorder, OCC, ODD, PTSD and

finally PDD-NOS. It has taken me 2 yrs to finally get her into a

school (J & G Snow School) - they had her in a regular high school

setting! But, I have no place for her to go when school's not in

session (Except to the daycare where her sister goes). I don't know

where to even start looking for help - her counselor and psychiatrist

have been of NO help. To make matters worse, the state just changed

our mediacl provider to Anthem - so now I have to find a new counselor

and psychiatrist. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated!

Hi ,

Welcome to our group! I wanted to tell you about the Anthem website which has a providers list online. You can look up providers on their internet site. www.anthem.com. Click the link for (state) location. Then after the page changes look under the link for find a doctor. (There are specific lists for general and psychiatric doctors.)

Hope you can find a good doc. The parents on this list can also give good recommendations.

Hope you can also attend our Holiday dinner.
