I thouht it would be cool to compile a list of ways to get our kids get through the holiday seasons easier. Also a list of what we do to help get ourselves through the holidays without screaming. I'll start.... WHAT DO YOU DO TO HELP YOUR CHILD GET THROUGH THE HOILDAY EASIER? We us count down calendars for everything. This lowers aniexity levels on when any big day is coming. We also keep a to go bag in the car at all times. Inside is a selection of fun things for him to do by himself and with others: In the bag today is Uno, crayons and coloring book, radio with headphones,

building disc, DVD player and 3 DVD's, his leapster and 3 games. WHAT DO YOU DO TO MAKE THE HOLIDAY LESS STRESSFUL OF YOURSELF? Make list after list after list! I have a habit of feeling like I am not getting anything done. List help me see that I have completed something, it also helps me not forget the little details. I also belong to a holiday basket train. This is a group of 8 woman that meet once a week from the week before Thanksgiving until the week before Christmas. We meet and decide what we want to make in our baskets and than decide who will bring what. Each week we gather and bake our hearts out. All recipes are freezable so what we make can go home and into

the freezer if we want. This not only gives me the chance to be with other adults, but cuts the cost of baking for the holiday.
