Flo, I'll have to remember that with my neice when she comes up this summer.

She likes boiled peanuts and will do anything I ask if I give her boiled

peanuts. They aren't quiet as bad as circus peanunt. (I'm assuming were

talking about the sweet orange ones!) Take care and hope to see you at the

picnic. We can offer flying lessons together. n SC

Good for you, Flo! You deserve everything you are enjoying now.

Careful with the treats, now.

I have already pushed over 60 and it feels good, now. I went shopping at a big

flea market today, and I can outlast all of my friends.

Prior to my surgery, I had to plan all shopping trips carefully, making it

through only one store a day. Buying groceries was a major ordeal that I put

off as long as possible because it hurt me so. If I went somewhere like

Dillards, I could only go to one or two departments in a trip because my feet

and legs would hurt so badly.

We all need to stop and take stock once in a while. Thanks for reminding us.

Manual Revision/My Endoscopy

Dr. Rutledge has added a new paragraph for post-ops to the manual.

Don't bother to go to clos.net to find it. You can only find it right

here in this email. He has given me the exclusive right to revise the

manual in this way. The addition goes like this:

" Post ops who are grandmothers and are assisting with the toilet

training of their three-year-old grandchildren through the use and

bribery of Skittles and Circus Peanuts (one for a pee, two for a poop

in the potty) should themselves not eat six circus peanuts at 9 a.m.

and expect to feel well at 9:42 a.m. "

That's the only change that I'm aware of. WHY he would want to revise

the manual in this way, I have no idea. But I'm hurriedly typing this

because Evan has to pee pee.

My endoscopy was yesterday. All was good. I will be two years post-

op on the 31st of this month. My blood work was excellent also except

that my livers are elevated (which is to be expected since I have

Hepatitus C). My weight is a tad on the low side but I note from

other lists that wls folks often have a rebound at about two years.

And with a ten pound rebound, I will be right where I'd like to

be....which is much thinner than I ever dreamed possible.

Because I'm pushing 60 (which is pretty much the only exercise I

get), I am not considering plastic surgery. I had no thought in mind

but to improve the quality of my life. I have surpassed my wildest

dreams in terms of the improvement. I don't have to do the list. You

all have experienced the same wonderful journey as I have. My

ailments are gone, I feel good every day. I move freely and quickly

and without thought each and every day. I look good in my clothes

(size 12) and with my new batwings, I am thinking of taking personal

flying lessons (only kidding, but they are BAD).

Life is good. It really is.

Flo,

Great news on your endo! :)

I think the manual addition was a good one. If you care to have any

other examples, feel free to use mine.

" Post-ops who go to a Prince concert (or any otherevent, I guess.)

should not try to share a large plate of tiramisu after dinner if

they don't wish to spend at least 1/3 of the show in the err...

umm... ladies lounge. (cough) Another suggestion, the porportion of

tiramisu consumed should be inversely related to the price of the

tickets/area of seating. "

My best!
