MINI-CONVENTION/HOLIDAY PARTY UPDATE

WE NEED YOUR RSVPS!!

So far, we have RSVPs for 56 for the Holiday Party and 19 for the

mini-convention. IF THE MINI-CONVENTION IS GOING TO HAPPEN, WE NEED

LOTS MORE PEOPLE TO RESPOND AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!

Both events will be for adults. This is really not a venue suitable

for kids. Teenage or adult children are welcome.

We are asking that you limit your party to the pre or post op MGB

patient and a guest.

The times for the mini-convention are not set in stone, but we are

looking at starting somewhere around 10am and having it go until

around 4pm. We can start the holiday party at 7 or 7:30pm so there

won't be such a big gap between events. We will let you know the

final times hopefully by next week. If people could get together and

share the cost of a hotel room, then you would have a place to go and

rest and change clothes before the party.

Hotel information is as follows: Radisson Governor's Inn, I-40 and

Drive, Exit 280, RTP, NC 27709. 919-549-8631. If you call to

make a reservation, let them know you are with the MGB Support Group

for the special rate of $59.00 per night. This rate applies to Friday

and Saturday nights.

The posts for both events may be found as follows: FOR THE POST OP E

GROUP, POST #'S 16175 AND 16308. FOR THE PRE OP E GROUP, POST #'S

83937 AND 84946. If you have friends who are not on either e group,

please tell them about these events and RSVP for them or have them get

in touch with me.

you can go to either of the two databases we have set up. Click on

'database' at the left, click on 'add record', and type in your

Hi,

As far as the party, my plan is to come out to the room at the hotel in

the morning of the party and stay there talking to patients and having

fun for the rest of the day.

Nothing but bathroom breaks.

I had so much fun at the picnic that I never wanted it to end.

Count me in for the mini-convention, not sure about the Holiday party yet, but

definately the mini-convention!!

Thanks you, Ginny, Glo and others for putting this together again for the second

year in a row!!! It is awfully nice you all to take the time and energy to put

How many do you need total for the day event? Also, for anyone to want to stay

all day, there has to be some kind of happenings... from what I understand from

Dr. R, it will be a time just to chat.

The support group committee is getting together this weekend to plan

the day's events. I guess we are looking for about 200 for the

mini-convention. Even if we had half that many, we would still do it.
