Dear Mental Health Parity Advocates,

We’re almost there! The House Health Committee voted today to send S.B. 116 to the House floor by a vote of 16 – 5. A list of the members who voted yes is below. Feel free to drop them a note and thank them for their support! The next stop is the Ohio House of Representatives. The bill is expected to be on the calendar, December 14th, at 1:00. We need to ask for your help in contacting the members of the House and urging them to vote yes on S.B. 116. If you do not know who your legislators are or need their office telephone numbers, go to http://www.legislature.state.oh.us/index.cfm. In the box Locating Legislators click on House and enter your Zip Code. Then click on the names of your Legislators to find their office telephone numbers and call to deliver this very important request. If your legislator is not available leave a message with an aide or on the voice mail system. Please make these calls before noon on Thursday!

Assuming that all goes well tomorrow on the House floor, the bill will need to go back to the Senate for a non-controversial vote to approve the minor amendments that were made in the House Health Committee. Next stop – the Governor!
