huh? We live in an area now that is twice as much. I don't think a 27 minute

drive east will change anything. If that is what you meant, not sure.

Oh, !! I can not believe how AWFUL that must have

been!! I just had a manometry a couple of months ago,

and had the same problem with the lady not being able

to pass the tube into my stomach. The test took

forever, and when it was finally done, I cried. She

hugged me and said " I wouldn't wish this damned

disease on anyone. "

How on earth could that little tube have broken

your nasal bone? Was she being too rough because she

was frustrated? I am so sorry to hear that you had to

have such a horrible time today. Did you at least

have family with you at the time? I hope you are O.K.

now. At least they are finally going to send you

somewhere where people are more familiar with, and

more equipped to handle your needs. Let us know how

you are doing.

,

You are right, that is a nightmare. I can not believe that it takes

something like this to get them to refer you. I had the same thing happen

to me where they could not get the tube down, but they only tried twice.

The person doing the test was a doctor, not a tech. He went back and told

my doctor the only way he could do it was if the tube was placed by the

scope. They rescheduled the whole thing, and it took all day. They placed

the tube through the scope but had to wait for the drugs to wear off before

they could do the silly manometry! The test only took about 5 minutes once

they got the thing in the right place.

I know the little tech tried her best, but I would be throwing a screaming

fit. I would be calling my docs, threatening everything I could. I have

said this before, the only way you get the treatment you need is to fight

for it!
