We are please to be have Northern Ohio SERRC join us in bringing Sondra back to Norwalk on Saturday September 23.

Sondra will be giving her "Define Me" speech followed by "What we over look when we look at Autism"

This is a powerful and insightful day looking at life from the perspective of Sondra , an adult with high-functioning autism.

Sondra is an adult diagnosed with High Functioning Autism and a mother of 4 children with Asperger’s. She is a long time board member of the Autism Society of Ohio, currently serves as an advisory member to the O.C.A.L.I (Ohio center for autism and low incident ) which is a state wide resource to families , educators and professionals in regards to autism and she is a parent advocate trainee for OSU LEND program. She also was appointed by the Governor to serve on the Autism Task Force.

Sondra presented at the 2006 National Autistic Society of America Convention on two panels (autistic’s who parent, and autism issues in woman) and Oct 20-21 will serve on several panels during the MAPP conference. If this isn't enough Sondra also works as a classroom aide to a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Sondra is a poet and the author of Reflections of Self and has a DVD titled Define Me. Sondra has been speaking publicly for 6 years to help educate the public on Autism.

Autism is a part of who Sondra is, but it does not define her. This is a powerful and insightful day looking at life from the perspective of Sondra , an adult with high-functioning autism.

Certificate of Attendance for 4 contact hours will be provided SERRC for educators, Service Providers, SLP. Certificate of Attendances for 4 hours provided by Help 4 the Family for all other attendees.

Who Should Attend: Parents, Family members, Individuals with autism, PDD, Aspergers, Educators, Special Ed. Service Providers, Administrators, Paraprofessionals, Bus Drivers, Parents, Child Care Providers, anyone who wants to know more about Autism.

This will be a distance learning workshop. Sondra will be LIVE at the Norwalk site and the Vermilion audience will see and hear via IVDL technology.
