Guest guest
>should I put an info pack of dr goldbergs materials together and give to my pediatrician and other docs involved with his care? then hope for a response? or how did you guys get cooperation with local docs< Hi...definitely put a materials packet together and insist the docs read them. Make sure Dr. Goldberg's telephone number and website is in the packet and direct the doctors to contact him if they have any questions. BE PUSHY about this. Don't let up until they read the materials and okay the tests. That's what I had to do...and my son's pediatrician actually KNOWS Dr. Goldberg! When I requested that they send 's records to Dr. Goldberg, 's doctor called me up to " warn " me that Dr. Goldberg's theories " aren't exactly accepted " by the mainstream medical community and that he didn't want us to do anything that might be unnessary or possibly harm . Although he did acknowledge that, as a parent himself, he totally understood why we were doing what we were doing. I told him that I had read Dr. Goldberg's materials extensively and was confident that he there was nothing in the protocol that was unduly dangerous. He talked to Dr. Goldberg and okayed the tests. I hope that will help.. Donna

Guest guest
We see Dr. Wexberg at the Cleveland Clinic Beachwood. I really like his personality and he is very good about letting me " do my thing " with Dr. DeMio and the biomedical stuff. He is also ok with my choice not to vaccinate further. (I told him my position right off the bat at the initial interview). He did want me to add to whatever blood work that we were doing the Measles titers just to ease his mind and both of my kids were in the OK range without the last boosters (go figure!!) Depending on your insurance, I also liked Dr. Hellerstein at Green Rd. Pediatrics. Her personality and views are much like Wexberg's (IMO), but we had to switch because of our insurance. There is one doc at her office that I do not like and if you have a sick child you pretty much have to take who you get. That's the only problem. There are a few east side dr.'s that I would steer clear of---but you can email me offline (I try not to openly bad mouth people if I can!!!) Guest guest
hi, yes, arthur knows a tremendous amount about asd, add, adhd and is not big on just giving out meds. he also spends a great deal of time talking w/parents and is extremely caring. i am a high school friend of beth hellerstein and really love her manner and way w/the children. we have been seeing her since my boys were born...before noah was diagnosed at about 18 months. she is also very supportive of our decision not to vaccinate ...at least yet. i am not certain of arthur lavin's position on this. phil demio is a must on your team of doctors in conjunction w/a primary care dr. good luck, all the best, shari

Guest guest
Hi - Although I have not been to him, 3 separate parents of autistic children have recommended Dr. on to me. I have not looked him up yet, so I don't have his info., but I know that he is in Avon Lake (I believe on Rte. 83 right off I-90) and is with the Cleveland Clinic. If you go to him, let me know how you like him as I am thinking of switching to him. Thanks. Margie

Guest guest
Yes, that's what I mean, thanks. We have run into a problem. Anytime she gets oral antibiotics, which is not often, just twice in the last two years, first Zithromax and then Amoxicillin, she gets a swollen bottom lip, it's called angioedema. This can get quite severe progressing to anaphylactic reactions. So we were looking for a ped who might give injections as we were told this might reduce this reaction. Thanks, Dr Vlad is actually a distant cousin of mine, will give him a call. ----- Original Message ----- From: rebecca maher Sent: Saturday, September 23, 2006 1:19 PM Subject: Re: [ ] pediatrician Antibiotics for an infection, like strep throat? Guest guest
Kellly , you would really like Dr Carruthers. Like I said , her son has autism so she understands. I do not take my kids to her because I have been faithful to our own pedi...if I would have known sooner I would have went to her. I do not have her number but just look her up.
