Guest guest
Anita, Congratulations on your wonderful progress. Isn't life SWEET? Funny, tho. I developed 2 peri-anal abscesses also, just about 3 months post MGB, and the only solution was surgery! One of them was huge, though, and so could not be done in the doc's office. My suggestion is to get to a surgeon quickly, before it gets big or grows a " twin " . My original was almond sized. The twin, which showed up a month later and developed within 5 days, was the size of a large avocado! I needed drains and open healing and 5 times a day sitz baths, etc. But I am completely well now, no recurrence, and although I remain a big pain in the butt, I don't HAVE ONE! :-) Keep on looking so good you make your husband do a double take! You go girl! PhillyJude MGB 11-3-00 263/189/????
Guest guest
What a great, great post. Congratulations on all your success. I can't imagine fitting in ANYONE's jeans....That is just wonderful... I do love how much the kids notice, however, mine are still my biggest fans and supporters of my surgery. V YeHAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!! The Happy cry from the SOUTHWEST!! All the way from Arizona can you here my joy ! ! ! I made my first goal.... two weeks ahead of time. My goal was to fit into my hubbies jeans by his birthday. I am proud to announce that last thurs. exactly 2weeks before his birthday. I put on his jeans to show how close I was getting to button and zip. and AMAZINGLY I was able to button and zip them (alittle sqwishy but I did it) I danced all around the house. telling my kids. " Look at my pants. do you like my pants? " My daughter is the one who realized " THOSE are not your pants those are DAD's pants " . Her twin pipes up.. " MOM you are getting so skinny. " I was walking on cloud nine ! ! I am happy to announce that I am now 100 pounds down! ! ! You were all right the plateau broke and the scale began to move again. I am WAY excited. this morning the scale said " 220,222,223,221 " it could not make up it's mind. hubbie says I need a new scale. It is still 100 down. and man do I LOOK GREAT! ! ! :::giggle::: Bought a new dress (second hand the size was cut out but I am thinking it is a 18) I look GOOD in it. the first time I put it on Sept10th to sing for a funeral, My sons said (I have 5 boys and 1 daughter) " WOW you look great mom. Dad is going to love that dress! " It was wonderful. Hubbie was late for the funeral so he did not see me standing until I got up to sing. it was great to watch his eyes go wide..he looked me up and down then up again. I had to smile. it was trully wonderful! :-) Yesterday when I put on the same dress it is a bit looser on me and I am not afraid of busting out the shoulder seams. But boy it made me feel great! ! ! Okay enough of the great. I have developed what I think is a anal fissure. If you are unaware of what this is. then look it up. Needless to say it is extremely painful when it flares up. I figget alot more (constantly) wiggle in my seat to get comfortable. I think that this has helped to move the weight again. wiggle and figgit are now all I seem to do. :-) I must be increasing my aerobic activity greatly. :-) Anyone know any home remedies for healing this uncomfortable pain in the @$$ ?? I would greatly appreciate it. Hope all is well with everyone. Hugs to all, Anita in Tucson 3/01/01 MGB 324/221/ :-)
