Guest guest
Dear Friends of the ASGC, I have three exciting things to tell you about. The first is that Sondra ; Author of "Reflections of Me", a wife, mother of 4 on the spectrum who is also on the spectrum herself will be speaking at our meeting tonight. She will offer in-site to life on the spectrum and inspire all of us with her wisdom as she tells her story and shares her accomplishments and challenges. From a parents perspective I recognize the every day struggles we have as a family with one on the spectrum. I can only imagine what it is like to advocate for a family and to advocating for herself. Please join us tonight and be prepared to embrace hope that all with ASD can live full productive lives. The second thing that I wish to share is that our on-line surveys are ready. For all those who let us know that they would like to participate but were not able to attend the forums, this is your chance to participate in our strategic planning process. Please find 5 minutes of your time to take the survey that best fits your relationship with ASD. We encourage you to forward this email to all that you know and encourage them to participate in the survey too. Please note that a warning pops-up when you go to submit that tells you that your email address will be attached to the survey. We tried to have them submitted anonymously but were unable with out paying for a service. We are looking to have to the surveys being completed by August 14Th. I look forward to reading your responses good and bad. This will help guide the ASGC as we develop programing to fill the needs of the community. PLEASE GO TO WWW.ASGC.ORG AND CLICK ON SURVEYS ON THE FRONT PAGE. IT WILL TAKE YOU TO A PAGE THAT LETS YOU CHOOSE YOUR INVOLVEMENT WITH AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDERS. The third thing that I want to share with you is the "Rev-It-UP for Autism" car show being held at Best Buy in Macedonia September 9Th. This car and bike show will benefit the ASGC. There is room for 100 cars. There will be music, food, prizes and fun for the whole family all day long. Please find the attached flier for more information. Last but not least please find our August news letter attached. Rory McLean - President Autism Society of Greater Cleveland
