Lara. WOW. You make me look like I fell asleep in the middle of a marathon!

WOW! Hope you're feeling fine and surviving your other ordeals! Keep up the

good work and the good attitude. Life is GREAT, even with some down sides,

wouldn't you say??? Warmly, Slow poke PhillyJude. :-)

  • 3 months later...

Hey Y'all, 7 short months ago I weighed 288 lbs. This morning I

weigh 193, a total loss of 95 lbs. Last month, I lost 11 lbs, so I'm

still doing pretty good in the weight loss, in fact, it's about my

average. I lost 15 the first month, and then about 12 lbs a month

since then. I'd like to lose about 50 more lbs. My skin is really

starting to annoy me, especially in my arms. I see these nice

muscles trying to come out, but only to be dragged down by the bat

flaps from hell. I still have a lot of fat all around my arms, so

I'm not quite ready.

My big news is that I've slowly took up jogging, running really, with

just a spurt here and a spurt there, jogging to my car, jogging after

one of my consumers, etc. So yesterday I got on the treadmill and

ran/walked the mile. It took me 13 minutes!!! I was amazed. I had

to walk a little of it not because I was out of breath, or dizzy, or

anything like that, but only because my ankles and calves aren't

condintioned to go running. I got off the treadmill, and I was

breathing hard, but not even close to the way I felt after just

climbing a flight of stairs 6 months ago. It used to take me several

minutes to recover, but now I just breath a little harder, no gasping

for breath.

Before I really wasn't convinced that exercise was really helping my

weight loss all that much. I joined the gym at 3.5 months, having

lost 47 lbs. 3.5 months later, I've lost another 48 lbs. In the

first half, I was exercising, but now I'm really working out. Some

weeks I rollerblade, or do other kinds of exercise, but the cardio

and the strength training, I believe have helped me maintain my

weight loss. I still continue to be able to eat large amounts of

food, but I've been keeping a " mental note " of what I eat, and I've

learned that rarely do I ever snack. Generally I have a small lunch,

about what a normal sized person would have, and then a nice dinner

(mostly meat). I try to get something in my stomach for breakfast,

even if it is just a glass of milk. No sodas, no fast food, no fried

food, no junk food. I just don't make the same wrong decisions any

more.

Well, sorry for making it long. Be looking for my 100 lb loss

announcement soon!
