Guest guest
Hey !! I am so glad to hear from you!! You are so right about the things we will do for our friends. (You remember how many times she reminded us it was CHOCOLATE??) I will tell you though staring at those big white buns is no match for sleeping in the same bed with them!! Just think I have experienced something millions of men all over the country only dream about. When are you coming back our way? I can't wait to see you again. It was so great to meet you!! Guest guest
I just read your post and am sorry to hear that you've got AS. I am hoping that the tests come back negative for fibro. You are one of my contacts from way back when, and I enjoy your posts a lot. Take care. Your attitude is wonderful and I am sure you'll make the very best of whatever comes your way. Will you be at the picnic? I'd love to meet you. PhillyJude MGB 11-3-00 263/195/
Guest guest
Genz, I must of missed the pecan bar receipe, would love to have it , could you post it again? So glad to hear the good news about Randy, and you keep cheering. Right now my life has nothing to cheer about since the picnic , that day we were so happy and it seemed to me that our lives were headed for only good things ahead, but unfortunatelly God had a different plan. I lost my Vinnie on the way home and I have been going through my own private hell. I wish everyone the best, have a nice holiday and keep in touch once in a while, I think I wrote you when I started to loose my hair and I had to buy wigs, but I do not think you ever answered me. I am still wearing the wigs, my hair is coming in but very slow. I really do not care the wigs look so natural no one even knows if I do not say I am wearing one. Bye for now, Rosemary Commisso (DrR Jan26,2001 297-205)
Guest guest
A few of the ex-cheerleaders did some cheers at the pep-rally. It's the first time I have cheered in 33 years. I was awesome!!!!!!! I happen to know RANDY very well, and according to him our dear Genz has done CHEERS for years! I guess they just weren't always at the PEP Rally, if you know what I mean....and he does agree that she is awesome... For those with inquiring minds.... Guest guest
Genz had her revision on Monday in Statesville. She is doing well. Unfortunately, it did not go exactly as planned. While in surgery the tube that Dr R uses as a guide for the pouch moved while he was cutting and her pouch is smaller than he intended to make it. About the size of an egg. That meant that the pouch was up near the esophagus and not the mgb tube...so Dr. R decided to use a rny connection instead of the billroth type...this is to avoid problems latter on because she does not have the tube that she should have. Her surgery was a little over 3 hours but as she was quick to say the minute she was conscious...this is why we go to Dr. R because when something unexpected happens he CAN handle it. He did NOT open her up...it was all done lap and she is healing... The bad news is that it does take longer to heal and she will be in room 520 at least until Monday. She has two drains...(yes, now Genzie has balls!) and an ng tube. She is in pain and taking a lot of meds to control it. She got off the gurney on the way back into her room to go to the bathroom...the transporter was amazed. Considering what she has been through she is doing wonderfully well. I was with her in Statesville until last night. If you are in the area please go visit her, as her family is not in town. That's all for now... Genz Has anyone had any news on Genz? She was scheduled on Monday for her revision. I have been thinking about her all week and looking for some news.
