Guest guest
Hi Jo, I was wondering why they had decided to put a tube in after removing the cholestoma. I had a tube put in and it fell out after 4 months and they don't know if it helped my hearing or not. Any input into this would be greatly appreciated. Guest guest
Hi Cari, It is my understanding that they put the tube in because my eustation(sp) tube was not draining properly and this is what causes the cholesteatoma to build back up. When or if it falls out in 6-12 months I might have to have another one put back in. It will depend on whether or not my ear is draining properly or not. Hope that helps!! chin up JO Hey all,Got a great report from the dr Friday. My left ear has healed up great. The tube is staying open and clear.
