Guest guest
Well I did good for 5 years but now I am going to have the canal wall down procedure. Surgery day is tomorrow at 9 am, possible Ctoma. I saw a perfectly round circle on the CT scan, wondered if that is infection or tumor. In any case I hope the ear cavity heals dry. Most of the outer ear infection is gone but still a clear liquid drains and slightly smells. OF course the day before surgery the ear almost feels normal and healilng. However I know the infection is coming from somewhere. I can push on my ear and hear tons of liquid still in there. The Doc said my hearing probably won't get any worse. Is the ear more sensitive to cleanings with a canal wall down? I get pretty dizzy with the canal wall up. How do they remove a tumor from the Dr office if they see one during a cleaning? He said he might cover the canal with the dura for protection if needed, what other types of adjustments might be made? I mentioned a meteoplasty and he said maybe but didn't see it as absolutely necessary and said if he made one it would shrink to half of size he makes, so not to worry bout opening size.
