Hello Everyone, Just wanted to give you an update on our little meeting coming up this Saturday the 15th of July. I finally managed to look at the poll (sloooow), and it seems that only some of us actually used the poll to register. Many, some who are members and others who are not even members of the group (yet) did not use the poll or could not get to it as they are not signed up for this group (as they are non-members). Based on the poll, here are the attendees, and please correct me if I am reading things wrong: 1. , needing childcare for one NT child and one special needs child 2. (maybe Don) - not needing childcare 3. cws9 - I am sorry I don't recognize this email and can not match it with a name - still undecided about attending but if she will,

she will need childcare for one NT child (right?) 4. - does not need childcare These are the people who said they would come but this is not indicated in the poll: 5. n - childcare needed at all? alone or with spouse? 6. Trish - will bring no grandchildren 7. and Jay R. - parents I invited who wish to explore biomedical interventions (will need childcare for one NT baby and an ASD boy, 4 years old) 8. Others are still waiting to decide about coming (outside the group) - anyone else considering attending, from the group? PLEASE DO NOT USE THE POLL FOR CONFIRMING YOUR ATTENDANCE ANY MORE AS IT IS CLOSING AND IS CONFUSING. PLEASE CONFIRM TO ME YOUR ATTENDANCE AND CHILDCARE NEEDS FROM THIS TIME UNTIL SATURDAY THE

14TH AT NOON. EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO ATTEND BUT SECURING MORE CHILDCARE GETS MORE DIFFICULT AND LESS RELIABLE IF YOU WAIT TO REGISTER UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE. Childcare situation: I have secured two people to watch the children while we are waiting for volunteers to do it, just in case. My two therapists/tutors are not volunteers, however, thus they will cost us some money. The good thing about having them vs. volunteers is that they are trained and have a background in working with special needs children. They have special education and speech-language backgrounds and they just started working with my son. We have checked backgrounds and references. I can always cancel them if we find good volunteers to work in the childcare, but since I heard nothing from anyone promising to look into it, I wanted to be sure we have someone for childcare available as I know many families would

not be able to attend without it. - did you manage to line up any volunteers? n - pls let me know about the funding situation once you talk to ASGC president Rory McLean about possibly supporting the childcare needs. If we do not manage to secure funding, would you consider splitting the cost of the two girls watching the children? Snacks: R. said she would bring brownies. - I can bring water and juice/pop. Anyone else? Handouts: n and I will compile a basic list of links, books and other information to distribute, but I really think that discussions will be the most valuable to everyone there. I don't want to sweat the handout stuff too

much. Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to give you an update on our little meeting coming up this Saturday the 15th of July.

I finally managed to look at the poll (sloooow), and it seems that only some of us actually used the poll to register. Many, some who are members and others who are not even members of the group (yet) did not use the poll or could not get to it as they are not signed up for this group (as they are non-members).

Based on the poll, here are the attendees, and please correct me if I am reading things wrong:

1. , needing childcare for one NT child and one special needs child

2. (maybe Don) - not needing childcare

3. cws9 - I am sorry I don't recognize this email and can not match it with a name - still undecided about attending but if she will, she will need childcare for one NT child (right?)

4. - does not need childcare

These are the people who said they would come but this is not indicated in the poll:

5. n - childcare needed at all? alone or with spouse?

6. Trish - will bring no grandchildren

7. and Jay R. - parents I invited who wish to explore biomedical interventions (will need childcare for one NT baby and an ASD boy, 4 years old)

PLEASE CONFIRM TO ME YOUR ATTENDANCE AND CHILDCARE NEEDS FROM THIS TIME UNTIL SATURDAY THE 14TH AT NOON. EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO ATTEND BUT SECURING MORE CHILDCARE GETS MORE DIFFICULT AND LESS RELIABLE IF YOU WAIT TO REGISTER UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE.

Childcare situation:

I have secured two people to watch the children while we are waiting for volunteers to do it, just in case. My two therapists/tutors are not volunteers, however, thus they will cost us some money. The good thing about having them vs. volunteers is that they are trained and have a background in working with special needs children. - did you manage to line up any volunteers?

n - pls let me know about the funding situation once you talk to ASGC president Rory McLean about possibly supporting the childcare needs.

If we do not manage to secure funding, would you consider splitting the cost of the two girls watching the children?

Snacks:

R. said she would bring brownies.

- I can bring water and juice/pop.

Anyone else?

Handouts:

n and I will compile a basic list of links, books and other information to distribute, but I really think that discussions will be the most valuable to everyone there. I don't want to sweat the handout stuff too much.
