Guest guest
Hi Dawn I must say that I feel it is the military doctors who failed me - perhaps, because they just didn't *see* enough cholesteatomas to know what one was but also because they just don't expect to see something so serious in a serving member of the Forces, so don't really look as hard as they could - and should - have looked. I would strongly recommend that you find a specialist around your parents' home area, so that you don't need to change doctors every 2 or 3 years. I was medically downgraded to a level unacceptable to those who grant further service, and so my contract was not extended; once I got home from the RAF my problems were taken seriously and finally were even diagnosed! :-) Take care, be well :-) Kazz xx
