Guest guest
Hi, I had my second post op yesterday. And the docs are very happy. The surgeon said that everything looks perfect. The cavity is dry - no sign of infection. He said he was delighted because the c-toma was so extensive. He is referring me back to my original doctor (so no more 4 hour drives for checkups - i'm only 5 mins from my local hospital). He said he hopes to never see me again !!!! (he was smiling ). He mentioned something about cartilage and meatoplasty (not sure how to spell) - that went over my head - anyone know ? He said I will eventually get back most of my taste but that the problem was the c-toma was wrapped around the nerve for your taste buds (i just want to be able to taste chocolate !!). Anyway - I am so happy (one of the other docs said it was nice to see a patient who smiled !!). Wishing every one a happy christmas and a c-toma free new year. Thank you to every one in this group - you provided me with so much information and support over the last year. ann.
