Guest guest
Hi every one! I went for my last post opp check up yesterday. My ear has a small spot that is not healing. Doc was kind of surprised. He painted the inside of my ear last visit. Along with suction, and he sprayed a powdered medicene in there. When I went yesterday he ask how long had I had the drainage this time. It started about a week ago this time sence my last Doctor appointment. I been dealing with this for several weeks sence my Oct. 3rd surgery. He suctioned and put more meds in my ear, I am back on Cipro, and I have to go back in 2 more weeks. I am done with my post opp visits, hope this treatment does the trick. I am getting burned out going every 2-3 weeks to see the Doc. Oh well we do what we have to do. This drainage is slowing down, what little I have now is a thick icky smelling deal. Its not much, just enough to be bothersome. I clean the out side oh my ear every day with a warm cotton swab. Once I get the ichy stuff off, it doesnt drain till I get up the next day, clean it and so on and so on. This surgery was to seal off the middle ear and the estachion tube. Any one have this happen? If so how long did it take to get a dry ear? It is getting better, but still having a bit of a problem. It only hurts just a tad every now and then, nothing to cry about.
