Guest guest
I have your Dan covered in my prayers too! I was a bit self consience of how my ear looked when I was younger. It sticks out more and there is a big hole. No one said to much about it. So hopefully this wont be a big issue for him. Now I dont mind it, but I did back then. I do hope his future holds sound for him. As his parent I know how much you want his sound to be there. Bless you both with a hearing future for him. > Audrey, > > Boy, I know how you feel. My Dan is so excited and happy about his hearing. He shares with me the little things he is hearing for the first time and I , too, recieve it with a bit of apprehension. He had reconstruction before and it lasted about 1 1/2 years until the ctoma came back and destroyed it. This time I don't think the ctoma is coming back (since they took so much out of his ear this time) Let's keep praying that it lasts longer this time. We can always remember that even if and when this fails, there are always new things on the horizon. I am confident that our boys will not be struggling with this for the rest of their lives. > > My son noticed today that his outer ear is somewhat different than his good ear. When the doctor widened the canal he changed the look of the outside a lot more this time. We reassured him that no one will notice (I said as I hoped). > > I will keep Micah in my prayers as a pray for my son. Happy New Year and let's be hopeful it is a year with no more surgeries!!!! > Re: " Mom, I can hear stuff!
