Special needs preschool (2 yrs - pre-kindergarten) that offers speech, OT, and movement therapy in addition to preschool classes. Not sure what else to put here.. My son has been going there for 2 1/2 years now and we absolutely love it. It is a private non-profit school that does charge tuition, but they can help with financial assistance, insurance claims and I know for summer at least our family resource dollars has helped. Even then the tuition for what you receive is extremely reasonable. Guest guest
I know its a school for asperger/adhd kids. My son will start attending this fall. The schools founder was actually the one who got us on an iep. He's got a very good heart. Back when I knew him, he had a program for adhd kids. The kids would do karate while he met with the parents, then the kids would earn badges for their karate outfit based on the good deeds they did at home. The karate teacher would do exercises with them like having them stand in a circle and catch red towels(they represented positive comments) and avoid black towels(which represented negative comments) or one time he had all the dads hold hands forming a chain, then asked the kids to break the chain, he did this to teach them to say "excuse me". I have also heard positive things about Lake Center Christian which is in Hartville Ohio. I think its a regular school but they do alot to make nt kids experience what its like to have autism, like look through goggles with vaseline, try to do a paper when people are banging on your desks. There are several autistic students there and they take the scholarship. ----- Original Message ----- From: DMHelmick1@...
