hi, my name is Tim. my wife has been writing for me the last couple of

months. I feel that maybe I should say a few words.

just quickly...

09/00 first surgery

09/00-07/02 recovery(ear pain,bleeding,infection,etc)

08/02-10/02 relief

10/02 vertigo(i haven't spent that much time with my eyes close since I

saw jaws)

12/02 second surgery

my second surgery is scheduled for December 30th. I've had two plus months

to think about what is going on. I didn't give my first surgery much

thought. just do it, well...wow. what a shock. after reading your stories

I've realized that I'm not the only one going through this. I think about

that a lot. I think about your stories. there is another person out there

going through the exact same thing. the one thing that I can't imagine is

being 8 years old and dealing with this; or being a parent of a child and

dealing with this. I have a 20 month old boy that I pray for and I hope he

will never, ever, have to go through what you or I, or others, have and will

continue to go through.

I'm 35 and I've had ear problems almost all of my life. I have 25% hearing

in the right and 75% in the left. I've done quite well with that. my friends

and coworkers all know and understand, stand to my left and don't talk to me

if I'm not looking. my hearing is getting worse, at a much faster pace that

I would like. with my surgery coming up soon I hope that next year is

better, I mean...

I just got over feeling sorry for myself

I just got over the pain

I just got over the infections

I just got over the hearing loss

I just got over hating my doctor

I just got over blood on my pillow

I just got over sleeping on one side

I just got over once every week...

I just got over once every two weeks...

I just got over once every month doctor's visits

I just got over BACK TO, once every week doctor's visits

I just got over bloody cotton balls in the toilet

I just got over the itch

I just got over the ever so hard to reach itch

I just got over the feeling of blood running down my neck

I just got over Q-tips

I just got over a flaky scalp

I just got over the feeling that my ear was so much bigger that my head

I just got over the pain again

I just got over the stitches that feel like a fishing lure, caught behind

my ear

I just got over the sound of my pulse, banging in my head

and now i have to do it all over again
