I too, come from a long line of anxious people, on both sides. However, some died early, others are still around, so it's hard to say.

But what I have learned from my anxiety tapes, are this: Will you initially die from worrying? No. But your long term health, cancer, etc are more likely because of all the damage stress has done to your body!

That's why I try to work hard to be positive, but with this pregnancy, I admit my discipline is out the window....

Maybe if I had a neurotypical family, that might be true. Me, I estimate that I will lose at least 20 - 25 years of my life expectancy just from sheer stress! Let's see...I feel like I'm about 60 right now, so I figure I've got maybe 20 or 25 years left?!?!? But that's just me...I come from a long and distinguished line of worriers. Of course, the patriarch of that line died last year just shy of 92 (God bless him!), so I guess you never know!
