Guest guest
>chris, i am interested in this program!!!!! >joanne Joanne - Would you like for me to pick up some information on it for you?? I think is going for a master's degree (sp ed degree - early intervenionist?), but I am going for my licensure so I can teach in the regular ed classroom. Then I'm thinking of earning a master's. But NDC offers their ed classes in the evening - one class, one evening a week. Chris
Guest guest
>Yeah? That's great! Maybe we could hook up there on campus sometime! What >program are u in, >Chris? And.....how do you manage to work and study at >the same time, with the family and all the > >craziness???????????????????????????????????????????????? - I'm in the TEEL program - young adult - 7-12th grade - chemistry and life science (I already have a bachelor's in chemistry, biology minor) - evening classes. Didn't have to take any subject classes, just have the core education classes to take at NDC. Last year, I took one class a semester. I studied during my lunch hour and after the kids went to bed, did very little of the housework (my husband is superduper), and wrote my papers on the weekend. I felt like I learned a lot and my grades weren't bad. This semester I'll be taking 2 classes. Let's see how well I do with the grade point average now!! Once I earn my ed license, I want to get a special ed degree. My dream job - high functioning autism/Asperger's classroom (preferably science only - BUT that's a pipe dream I think). I visited one HFA/AS classroom each in a junior high and a senior high during my field experience last school year, and I told the high school teacher that she had my dream job. She wasn't just the student's home room teacher, she was their home room mother!! Chris

Hoping >to student teach next Fall!! - Hooray! You're almost done! How in the world did you manage to take 5 classes in one semester??? I'm hoping to been done with my classes this summer as well, and so possibly student teach in the fall. Yesterday, I looked at all the classes you had to take to get the MMIS licensure, and, wow, what a lot! You're very dedicated. Chris

Taking three classes this fall - I can't wait. I think that doing what you enjoy doing is probably the best thing in the world... Cochran <Ladyshrink111@...> wrote: I agree, congratulations, !
