, Yes, Sam would love it if he had another new penpal. He

liked the pictures of Francesca getting her ear cleaned. He was at

the Dr.'s yesterday and he had to have (the sweeper run in his ear)

as he calls it, to get some of the infection out of his canal. He

is scheduled for a CT-scan on 1/8 and surgery on 1/28.

Also you said loud noises bother Francesca, they also bother Sam,

which I asked the Dr about and he said when somone had hearing loss,

as Sam had mild to moderate in his right ear, it can go to one

extreme to the next. Such as not hearing something to little things

being really loud. He said to try and limit any background noise

and try not to expose him to loud noises. He said if he is going to

be exposed to loud noises then get protective earplugs.
