Guest guest
Hi there, I'm new to the c-toma group. Had an operation on Jan 5th, 2004 to remove a c-toma. I need to find out about what to do or take when I fly in an aeroplane in a couple of months time???? Am I able to fly???????? Thanks, Adina
Guest guest
It seems that the length of time before flying differs from doc to doc. my doc let me fly 3 1/2 weeks post surgery. All went well. I did use the " Earplane " someone on this group suggested and it worked really well. I had less feelings of pressure change than my husband did. I was really nervous prior to flying. I was so happy after the first leg of the flight. Connie > Hi there, > > I'm new to the c-toma group. Had an operation on Jan 5th, 2004 to > remove a c-toma. Guest guest
Adina, I am flying tomorrow after removal of c-toma on Dec 22. Doc said I was cleared to fly. If I do have any problems I will let you know. You should check with your doctor as well before flying. I don't plan to use ear plugs, but others have. Guest guest
G,day Connie What is an earplane? We could get to the specialist a lot quicker if Nick could fly on the angel flight but the docs (neurologist and ontologist) said he can never fly. I am not sure if it is because his c-toma wrapt around some of the brain (left central lobe, I think) or whether it is because his ear is reconstructed with plastic but if there is a device out there that might make flying possible I must ask the docs. Thanks Deb Re: New, Flying issue > It seems that the length of time before flying differs from doc to > doc. my doc let me fly 3 1/2 weeks post surgery. All went well.
