Charter schools?

I am wondering if anyone in this group has enrolled their child(ren)

in any of ohio's virtual academies or charter schools, and what that

has looked like. i no longer feel like i am as involved as i need to

be in my daughter's education, nor do I feel confident that the local

school district will do what needs to be done to close some of the

gaps my daughter is already facing as a kindergarten student.

i already know about the autism scholarship, and would like to pursue

that, but would like to explore all options available to me. Any

info would be appreciated.

I am in a funk this week, because we moved here because my Dad was

sick and we wanted to bring him home from the nursing home...anyhow,

he passed away last Friday. So now we are here, but not for the

purpose we intended, and our daughter is not getting the services she

had before, so I am having a tough time with that.

We are making progress in some areas, though, and my dh and I are

brainstorming ways to better our situation. hopefully, we will get

somewhere. Anyhow, thank you for listening to me ramble... it

literally took us 4 hours to draft an IEP for the last 12 school

days...I don't even want to know how long it will take us to draft

one that is supposed to cover an entire school year.
