Guest guest
Hi Ingrid, I do hope you will feel much better with this new surgery. I know how it feels to have the ear pain, truly a horrible hurt. My ear problems started at birth. Many years of surgeries, and I still have some dizzyness, and a ear that wont dry. So I will ask my Doc when I go today about the air flow in my mastoid ear. I have a huge hole so I dont know if my problem is air flow, but it wont hurt to ask. I think I am having fungus problems beings it is sore and drains and itches. I do hope your recovery goes well and you feel much better soon. Hang in there! And get well soon! > > Hi, > I went to the Dr yesterday and had the packing removed from my ear. This > past surgery was done my Dr Thedinger. Maybe with this last surgery, he'll have fixed everything that has been bothering you. No wonder you felt bad, with your facial nerve getting hammered by that misplaced TORP every time you moved! Guest guest
I had two prosthetic hearing bones placed in my right ear in July of 03. This past Wednesday I had a Cat Scan done to see if they had come out of place. Is this similiar to what happen to you? I'm sick of all this and have been worring alot. I don't go back to the doctor till next Wednesday for the results. Do you know of anyone that this has happen to so soon after surgery? Guest guest
Hi Donna, I did not have this trouble. But I would like you to know I am pulling for you to get through the waiting, till your appointment day. I know it is hard not knowing what the heck is going to happen next. So I hope the next several days fly by you, so you can get the results from your test. You just hang in there! Its way hard to do I know. I hope things go ok for you. Seems like when we want time to fly it doesnt. I am kind of concerned if I might have to have more surgery myself, as I have a place that recent surgery isnt healing. So far I am still on meds, waiting 2 more weeks to find out what there going to do next. I am concerned because I dont want to get another surgery. And Doc isnt real thrilled about this. I will do surgery IF that is what is to be, but geezo enough all ready! Till then I am trying to just be positive even though things arent going the way there suppose to. I have not been told there will be another surgery, but I also know how Doc reacts, so we shall see. Maybe a bit more time on meds will do the trick, dont know. Just keeping my fingers crossed! I am in the waiting mode to. I just get on here most every day, and talk to the others. It helps me to have an outlet with people who are going through the same thing. So let us know how your doing ok. Good luck to you Donna. > I had two prosthetic hearing bones placed in my right ear in July of 03. Guest guest
What a relief just to hear someone say they understand. I went Friday to pick up my CT Scan for my doctor's appt. on Wed. and they had a note that I needed to have them back by Wed. afternoon so another Radiologist can read them and when I asked who requested that they said the person who wrote that note had already gone. I think I will call the doctor's office tomorrow and see if they will tell me something over the phone. I did tell myself if it was something real bad someone would have called me. I really wasn't prepared for this not to be over after the surgs. Thanks for your support. I hope things heal for you soon.
