Now our school O.T. did some standardized tests and the scores were pretty low. Problem is that he didn't " follow the rules " of the standardized tests that had very complex directions. He only heard key words (hello----did they account for auditory processing problems???), so go figure, it wasn't a true reflection of his skills. According to the O.T.---if we look at the testing booklet, we can see how well he actually did, but that is not reflected in the scores. I'm not sure what to do at this point. Does anyone know of a test that may take the auditory issues into account, or should I ask the O.T. to put a disclaimer on the test results? thanks!!!
