Guest guest
I think this is a really good idea. I would be interested, as I'm always excited to share my info and learn from others at the same time! -Trish > > I just thought about another thing - I could host a 'biomedical informational and support meeting' at my house, at a time that's convenient for everyone. > > I thought of this because I have encountered a lot of new parents lately who are interested in learning but may not have the time to do heavy reaserch (yet). I think, personally, that it would be a quicker way of exchanging experiences than writing emails to each other...some parent who are new to the autism thing need direct, personal experiences with families who have done it, been there, and could give them some ideas on where to start. > > I personally don't have the time to counsel and advice each individual family at length and with the thoroughness I like to do things; also, I am not really an expert myself but would be happy to share what I have learned and learn from all of those who have been doing one or another biomedical intervention. > > Let me know guys what you think. Guest guest
Count me in as someone who would love to attend! We've started looking into the biomedical, more so since we joined this group, but there is so much info it's hard to take it all in and try to figure out what to try. > > I just thought about another thing - I could host a 'biomedical informational and support meeting' at my house, at a time that's convenient for everyone. > > I thought of this because I have encountered a lot of new parents lately who are interested in learning but may not have the time to do heavy reaserch (yet). Guest guest
- I would love to hear more, too! Thanks alot! Guest guest
So how would the 5th, 6th or 7th of July work for everyone interested? These are the days that Trish has indicated that would work for her. Please send in a message what would be your preferred day. As far as the time is concerned, if the meeting would take place at my house than it would have to be between the hours of 10:30 am and 2 pm. If we decided to have it some place else (may be more practical to find a location that is closer to everyone - I am not sure if my Shaker home would be....) then I could make it there between the same hours. I am glad there are many interested. If we had the meeting those days (5th-7th of July) then we would also have time to invite non-group members, new parents interested... what do you guys think? Talk is cheap. Use Messenger to make PC-to-Phone calls. Great rates starting at 1¢/min.
Guest guest
- I work during the day. Gotta count me out. Oh well. Maybe next time. Guest guest
Sat. July 8th is a family reunion, so I won't be able to make that day. However, the next day, Sun.July 9th would be good. I'm also free the following week-end. Or what about evenings? Whatever you decide, I'll try to work around it. I'll keep checking in for updates! -Trish > > > > So how would the 5th, 6th or 7th of July work for everyone > interested? These are the days that Trish has indicated that would > work for her. Guest guest
How about July 15th, a Saturday? It's OK for Trish, I know, let us see what the others have going on that day.... How low will we go? Check out Messenger’s low PC-to-Phone call rates.
