Guest guest
We had an awesome night with . I decided to take him with me to the ballfield (my NT son plays baseball). I had a turn to volunteer at the concession stand. I figured hubby and I could take turns watching our son's game, and watching on the playground. When it was my time to work the concession stand, wanted to come with me. I was dreading it, thinking he would want to eat every peice of candy in sight. He was so awesome! He wanted to pretend that he was working the stand. It wasn't busy, so I let him. We made a game of it. I stood outside and asked for various things naming what I wanted, what color, and how many. It was so COOL! He asked me what I wanted, responded to my requests, said "Thank you". When I told him that I changed my mind and wanted something else he said "Ok, no problem!" I am so thankful for days like these. It feels like he "there" "connected" with me! I LOVE him so much and I don't worry so much and question myself as much when I see how far he has come! Just through his first year of ABA and has made some great strides, but still has a long way to go. He has taught me a lot and brings me so much happiness it's amazing. Isn't autism so bitter sweet.Shane>> Shane, > > What a beautiful baby! Is this your son when he was a baby? I love the > slideshow. You are a great photographer!
