what does debride mastoid mean

Every time I go for a checkup, the doc charges $250 for something that comes up

on the bill as " debride mastoid. " Usually all he does is look in my ear and

sometimes (not always), he uses less than 10 seconds of suction if he sees

something to remove. Does this charge seem right?
