Hi Marilyn,

Nick is the same, still has a hole in his eardrum and just a slight improvement in hearing. CT showed prosthesis is in place and no regrowth. We are not planning to do anymore sx for now not knowing why the hole persists and why his hearing has not improved. I bought him a Redcat system for school, and that seems to help. He seems to be holding his own Thank God! Hope everything is fine at your next appointment.

A Pain in the NECK!

Hi , Thank you & all the others for responding....to answer your question regarding "where is the pain?" it is in my neck (same side as lymph gland which lit up) and somewhat in the jaw area. I sleep with a neck cushy thing that can be heated in the micro. I am very stuffy in the ear that had the c'toma removed and recently got over a cold. I continue with chronic neutropenia from the chemo and think this lymph gland showing up on PET (Positive Emision Tomagraphy) scan is probably related still to my immune system/cold....

I looked up Zicam when I first got the cold....Google it and you will be amazed.

It is very interesting how c'toma's grow like a cancer, but are totally benign.

How is NICK doing now?

Thanks for your help....I will report back after I see the Oncologist and ENT on Tues.

Marilyn
