got the dreaded phone call this evening

hi all, finally got the much dreaded phone call this evening (as some of you might remember - my first surgery beginning of october was stopped due to a vein been cut). i go in on monday (providing there is a bed available) - this is to a different hospital - more specialised surgeon. surgery is scheduled for thursday. three days of tests - including an mri scan - they want to see where the veins are and not cut them again !!!wish me luck - hoping it's a success this time don't know whether to be glad it will soon be over or to just cry (time for chocolate although since last surgery, chocolate doesn't taste as good - real bummer)good luck to all who are having surgery over the next few weekstake careann.

No, but I had a fungal infection in my middle ear. I hope you're referring

to infection and not problems fitting a hearing aid (ear mold) ;-D

My ENT gave me an insufflator that puffed antibiotic powder into my ear.

Kept the ear dry and got rid of the infection. I think someone else one

the list had a problem with the " penicillin type " of mold.

Phil,

Second time because it failed the first time - they didn't get anywhere near the c-toma. They cut a vein and had to stop because it was bleeding too much. Said i had a vein where there shouldn't have been one - that's the reason for the mri scan - see what my head looks like !!

Hope you are feeling well.

Hi Ann

Second time in a month - seems a bit excessive, doesn't it? Let's hope it all goes smoothly this time. Very best of luck.

Any of you CWD people ever have problems with mold spores growing in your ear as a result of living in a moldy environment? If so, how did you clear up the problem?

Thanks,
