Guest guest
Crossing my fins and tail that your second CI will sail through with flying colour. When I get back to Winnipeg (Nov. 28 if all goes well) I will look for your email. There's probably will be at least 400 to 500 emails if everyone on all the lists are in the talking mood (smile). At least I will have something to do until " switch on " January 8, 2008 (received the schedules this afternoon). Count down - 13 more days. Guest guest
Have been threw 3 surgery's with our 9 yr old and have a 13yr son and watch 2 other kids after school. We learned that it was best to make it so that the other kids were not around for the first week after surgery and this made our daughter not want to get up and run around and act crazy like the rest of the kids. We tried it once and was a near disaster with kids playing and she got involved in the wrestling match 2 days post surgery and bumped her head. That was not fun so we keep the kids away now. Just my 2 cents. A Good Credit Score is 700 or Above. See yours in just 2 easy steps!
Guest guest
Ok so next Tuesday we go in to schedule my sons 2nd surgery, to check for reoccurance and hopefully put in a prothetic. What type of questions should I be asking? Is this the same incision type as the first normally? What about recovery time? and last but not least how in the world am I going to keep a 7 yr old from jumping around much less wrestling?? lol
Guest guest
My son had the second look surgery with reconstruction with a titanium prosthesis at age 5yo. The same incision was used and healed very well. I kept him quiet mostly with TV, movies and videos as well as the handheld games (gameboy or DS). The recovery time wasn't any different than from the first ctoma removal surgery. Best of luck with the 2nd surgery! Guest guest
I have yet to schedule my daughters second surgery for her titanium prosthetics... I really should. I am thinking more toward the end of the week of spring break, but not 100% sure since I will have 4 other kids at home as well and really don't want her to have to deal with them (and me) during her recovery time. I have posed the question before, but for those of you who have other kids (I have 5 all together) what do you all think is the best? Pamela Waling " smile, it confuses people... Guest guest
Playstation, books that spark his interest, art supplies, threats. LOL. (I have an eight year old stepson) Hope it all goes well for you! I try to keep my two boys seperated since they seem to egg each other on! His brother is older and understands more so it isnt a big issue the first week or so more when the outside looks better but the inside is still raw and they forget. My sons school will make arrangements to get the important assignments to him and keep him in the loop. He is only in 2nd grade and is ahead of the class anyways (always tries to beat his brother at everything ;p) I say if I could afford it because I am a single mom and burned through my vacation time last year with all of his appointments etc. Thankfully tax season will help me pay for my time off for this one since I don't have vaca until june! Maybe you could schedule it the week before spring break? I think the week before break is usually pretty lax since they know the kids won't retain most of it.
