Guest guest
Hi n, Is this picnic going to take place this weekend? If so, we are interested. And I do need to say a few words about ourselves as I have not had the time yet to introduce ouorselves to the group, even though I have met some of you before. We have a cute 4 yo with autism, his name is Evan. I will post his picture on the groups home page! My name is and my husband is Don. We live in Shaker Heights. As far as interventions go, we have been experimenting with biomed, with and without a doctor, and we work with Evan using the principles of ABA, but also incorporating lots of sensory activities. He is emergingly verbal, with quite severe apraxia, but it is getting better! He is very social and I think he would enjoy meeting other children! We have been increasingly involved with local autism groups and are interested in doing a fundraiser/writing grants for family support/preservation/respite/therapy. I do have grantwrting experience and I am looking for families who have similar interests. I have some extra time in the summer as I took the summer off from school. We are looking forward to getting to know all of you better, so if this picnic thing is still on, please keep us in the loop and also let us know how we could help set it up, etc. Best wishes to everyone,
