Thank you all for your helpful suggestions for beginning soap makers. I'm

gaining more courage and will soon be taking the plunge. The suggestion for

the face mask from Home Depot is something I'm going to follow through with

because the idea of being around those fumes still scares me. I thought I'd

start with the basic soap recipe given in Cavitch's book, but

just discovered it makes 40 lbs of soap. The essential oil alone calls for

15-18 teaspoons! It's a wonderful book, but I don't think I want to start

out with enough soap for an army. So, I also would love a beginner's soap

recipe -- just enough to get me started. Thanks again for all your help and

encouragement and the suggestion to keep the cats out of harm's way.

Judi;

How do you get the boys to play with the electronic toys?....that is

GREAT about picking out the letters. I can't get to play with those

things....don't me wrong, he does LOVE them BUT he just picks one button and

bangs on it over and over again. He won't even let the button finish its

sounds before he has pressed it again. I have taken those toys away from

him because he isn't using them properly. I bought alot of electronic toys

about two x-mas' ago but haven't bought any since. We do have a

easel..... doesn't really use it.... is the one who likes it the

most. I think Nicala & don't care about it that much because it

isn't anything new to them (they have one at school). Gail...holding pens

properly...ALREADY?....WOW.....Nicala can print words and everything but I

am even still having to correct her on the way she holds the pen.....I think

it comes naturally to some kids and others have to practice. I've been

sending most of my posts to the club but to try and sum things

up....everyone here was really sick except for me, the kids don't have a

family Dr or Ped starting next month, Nicala is being tested for cystic

fibrosis on Tuesday and is having a sedated cat scan on April 23. I'm not

working this month because of all the tests being done on Nicala.

Hey gals,

I hope all of you back east are staying warm and healthy.

Just a quick update...I do not have colon cancer :). Big sigh of relief. I

do have some sort of nasty infection that most of the doctors seemed to

miss. I am doing okay now.

So back on program on Thursday. Take care and I will check in with you all

as soon as I can.

No , Im not being sarcastic LOL. There were two factors that got him back on tract (for what reason , I couldnt really tell you ) First CB was having a terrible time on the bus, but mornings only LOL, It may have been to much for him as he is auditory sensitive, second I bought another excersize ball and started deep pressure therapy again. CB is a high funtioning , verbal. And when his language starts Improving ( it seems to go in spurts ) his behaviors ( agression ) also start taking off. So between Mommy driving him to school in the morning ( could be he wanted More of Mommy too ! ) and the ball we have alleviated the bad sensory stuff. This past week has been almost too good to be true. I know it wont last forever LOL.

Hello--

Regarding the below, before I invest $1,000 or more, I'd like to know what

I'm getting (unless I happen to be rich.) I delayed buying the BM for a

long time, because I couldn't find a straight answer as to why it should be

as good as something costing $6,000, and purported to do the same thing.

What if I put down $1125 plus a computer with double video cards, and found

I had a piece of junk, and now had to buy the $6,000 machine anyway.

Everybody I contacted just said that what I needed was what they happened to

be selling. When I contacted the main BM office by email, asking them the

difference between theirs and the Spectrum system, they just said, " more

bells and whistles, " which didn't help.

A video course wasn't helpful. An internet correspondence course answered my

question, but when I attended a Spectrum course, they were putting down the

BM. Fortunately, my partner owned a BM, and kept saying under his breath

that one statement or another wasn't true.

So after a year of research, I bought the BM, and was completely satisfied

with what I got.

So now, what the heck is a Roshi?

Thanks,

Gene

JJ,

You ask way to many questions- Just buy both the dag gone Roshi

and neurofeedback machine and find out for yourself. That's the

only way you will ever be satisfied.

Hope you find what your looking for!

While I have serious doubts that *any* sugar can be good for

diabetics, I am willing to read more. If you have any web references,

please send them to this list.

Hi, When we lived in Illinois I wrote a simple letter to the school nurse and school staff stating it was our personal religious beliefs against vaccinations. We had no problems except I had to update it every year at the start of school. Since moving to Ohio last year I have to sign a form stating that I may have to withdrawal my child form school if there is outbreak. You might want to check out this web site it is pretty good.

I'm a long time member, but have been silent for a bit to see the effect of

this pregnancy on my back/fusion. I can't tell you medically the

reprocushions of the pregnancy, but I've just had twin boys last wednesday.

I gained 30 pounds thru the pregnancy, and had little in the lines of pain

medications. VERY little! That said.... the last three months, while I

measured the size and bulk of a singleton full term pregnancy, I still had a

long way to go. It was very difficult, and I found myself laying down a

LOT. It did help. Warm baths, often, sometimes 3 times a day helped.

Biofeedback helped very little, but each little bit was better than the

last. Well I made it to term. I complained often, and marked off days on

the calender. One less day to xgoal. The final one being a healthy birth.

Well because one twin was breech (feet first) I had to have a csection.

They were born one minute apart. came out first, crying and the

bigger twin. came out silent and the smaller twin, coming head

first. It was a planned csection, so I got an epidural/spinal injection.

They gave me duramorph in the shot and I reacted to it. Never again! They

had a difficult time placing the needle, as I couldn't extend the part of my

spine in the way that they wanted. Finally in, 3 attempts later, and I'm

numb. It was weird, knowing they were pulling and pushing and tugging on my

tummy and I couldn't feel more than a little pressure. The worst being from

the weight of the babies on me. Well they took out michael and I could

breath easily again. Then came out, and I was freaking out. He

didn't ever cry. They took him to the nursery and then sent him 2 hours

away for a nicu. That nicu couldn't keep up with his demands, and they

sent us to another one 5 hours from home. The next closest. Thank God he's

doing well there... and now is 4 days old and much more stable, and better

than he was just yesterday even. They have him on a heart/lung machine. At

least for a few more hours. They'll do another trial of off time tomorrow

and if it goes as well as today, then things will start to change rapidly

for my matthew. I think as far as my back, the laying there the 12 hours

after the injection in my spine was the worst. I am black and blue from it.

But I'm glad the boys are doing better. I'm glad their out. My insides

were so done.

Well if anyone has questions or ever wondered about bad backs and pregnancy,

I'll be glad to answer them. Oh and I'm totally glad I did it. I love my

boys! OH yea... I'm fused at l5-s1 and I have herniations at l4-5, t7-8,

c4-5, 5-6, 6-7, and oh yea, 3-4. Most of my neck ones are minor, but the

thoracic and the other lumbar should be replaced or fused. Not sure I

wanna. Not because my prior fusion didn't work, as it has helped greatly.

It is simply because I have enough on my plate right now.
