Guest guest
On December of 2002 (6) had surgery to remove a congenital cholesteatoma from his left middle ear. At this point everything looks great, now he just had his second surgery to check to see if indeed the tumor was completely removed and also to repair his ear bones. On July 17, 2003 's (7 now) surgery took longer than what the doctor thought it would. Here is where we stand for the moment......... The doctor found some remains of the cholesteatoma in his ear, it was located on the top part of his middle ear, because of it's location it made the removal of the cholesteatoma very slow going but the doctor was able to remove it. After measuring and re-measuring the doctor was also able to reconstruct his ear bones as well. The doctor was very pleased with the results and say's that there is no reason why should have to have another surgery. was home by 12:00pm and slept until 5:30pm and like before he was up and playing play station like nothing happen. Just shortly after that told his Mom that he could hear much better out of his left ear........ YES!!!!!!!!!! Up until now he has lost up to 90% of his hearing out of his left ear He does have some drainage but as of right know everything is looking really good. He has a doctors appointment on July 28 so we should know more by then. Rikk Austin TX
