Guest guest
Saw the ear doc yesterday. He can no longer see the pledgets at all. All looks covered by granulated tissue and everywhere he touched started bleeding. He thinks it may be infected, too. Said this is beyond him and recommended a surgeon in Honolulu who takes Medicaid. Good thing, too, because I absolutely cannot afford another trip to California, have already begged and borrowed every last cent possible for the first two trips. All of this over a simple mistake. My surgery ran two or three hours over the estimated time and by the time I got out of recovery there had been a shift change and I didn't get the prescription for Cipro drops I should have had. Saw my primary doc today and he concurred with what the ear doc saw. Waiting for an appt. with the Honolulu surgeon. Makes me feel like crying; this has been going on for a year. But then I read some of the stories in here and they make mine look like a piece of cake. Oh yeah, got home from the drug store with my bag of assorted drugs (I have a bunch of medical problems) and too late discovered the ear drops were not in there, and I am OUT of them. Got plenty of pain pills though. Sometimes I feel like the victim of a cosmic joke. Anybody else have an MRSA staph in their ear and if so, have you been able to get rid of it? I have lost track of how many antibiotics I've had over the last year and nothing touches it. It was supposed to have all been cut out, now it looks like it's back; feels like it, too. cherie
Guest guest
I had a staph infection, doctor put some medicated yellow powder (sorry dont recall the name of the stuff) in his office and prescribed antibiotics. I got rid of the infection, no problems...knock on wood. sharralin <cheralin@...> wrote: Saw the ear doc yesterday. He can no longer see the pledgets at all.
