Yes, Deb, very helpful!!! I was worried because I had

asked my neurologist for PT in the past and he did not think

it would help (I've had PT on a few occasions in the past).

I want to try OT or anything that may be beneficial, As long

as it won't hurt, I think it's worth a shot. Do you mind if

I print your response for my neurologist to see just in case

he vetoes it?

Thanks again. Peace, Marti

Marti;

My experience is as follows:

I fell last winter and lit square on an elbow, after

much screwing around by my " Vet " , he finally ordered

an MRI, seems that good old tennis elbow was rearing

its ugly head, on top of carpal tunnel, CMT and who

knows what else.

I couldn't hold a pencil in my left hand!

He ordered some PT, the therapist wanted to do some

topical steroid applications, I said NO WAY just do

utltrasound and the OT. In just 10 sessions I gained

much strength (have more strength than the right side

and I'm right handed).

Like you, I'm a big active guy, who used to grab

people and make the wax come out of their ears! Those

days are over but I'm still working and have little or

no wasting in my hands.

Just be sure the therapist knows not to overdo it and

I think you will reap some benefit.

I hate to keep bothering you, but I have another question. Does Bobby recieve OT at school and if so do you get a report of those sessions? The reason I am asking is because I would like to ask the school OT for her notes from all his sessions. Do I have the right to see them? I think I know the answer is yes but I am not sure. Thanks

When my son was 2 & 3 yrs old (he is now 7almost 8). I attended many night time sessions for parents and professionals (floor time, school planning, large motor skills. Areas to help me at home, since I was getting know where w/pediatricians & other professionals who didn't hear my pleas.) I was very impressed w/their staff, and equipment. I also heard alot of praise from parents that had used their OT services as well. (From severe cases, to twins!) We ended up useing the CCF Childrens REHAB for eating & hypersensitivity issues (which just just now finished paying out of pocket this month!!) Hope this helps a little. Definelty 1)get on their website and get on their mailing list. 2)check out some classes 3) visit location 4)ask for referrals. Good Luck to your family. katrine822 <cate127@...> wrote: Does anyone use or has anyone used Barrie Galvin up in Beachwood? If so what are your thoughts? Thanks!Cate
