only a couple of episodes. i have a hole in my head - behind my ear

and i could see this white stuff protruding, so i pulled the white

stuff out with some tweezers and played with it a bit.

it was very brittle and waxy. the consultant told me that the use it

during the surgery and leave it there.

does this sound completely different??

i also remember that during my chronic infections, white stuff would

come out of the ear canal. apparently this was the cholesteatoma

reforming and also the skin inside shedding itself and the consultant

cleaned it out on a regular basis using the vacuum.

sorry if i have confused you, just thought i would add my

experiences/nightmare.

Well, he did have some stuff coming out of the incision site for

awhile, but that was over with long ago. This is different.

Regarding the stuff coming out of your ear canal though... was it

actually coming from your middle ear out via the ear canal? Or was

it actually coming from the ear canal? If it was from the ear canal,

AND it was a ctoma reforming... then I'm scared. In my son's case,

his middle ear is fine, not involved in whatever this problem is at

all. This discharge originates in the ear canal itself.

And, by the way, his discharge is actually much better now, although

not gone...and we have been off dairy for 3 weeks. Also, getting a

new ear mold in a different material with larger air hole next week.
