Guest guest Posted August 6, 2004 Report Share Posted August 6, 2004 Don't worry I had a huge bruise that ran around the back of my neck. It was yellow , green and black. It was gone in a week or so. Anyone else have this happen? > Totally normal after surgery. If you read a mastoidectomy operative report, you'll be surprised that you're not even more battered looking on the outside. Fortunately, this type of operation doesn't seem to hurt as much as we'd expect.
