Hi ,

So sorry to hear about your appt with the Dr. As far as the

dizziness goes, I had very, VERY bad dizziness before having my

operation to remove the c-toma, along with very severe migraines.

The dizziness got so bad I was sitting here one time at my computer,

when everything started spinning around. I told my Dr. about that

and the very bad headaches and he pushed my operation up right away.

Apparently the c-toma was already eating away at the bones getting

very close to my brain.

I seem to think dizziness is one of the symptoms as mine seemed to

get worst as the c-toma got worst. As for the Sofracort, I had that

prescribed when I had a slight infection in my ear after the

surgery. Word of advice, make sure you warm it up before you put the

drops in. When I didn't, I found I also got very dizzy. The apo-

lorazepam, well that's just to calm your nerves before you go in :-)

Anyways, hope things are going well with you. If you want to look

into a good doctor in Barrie, just a few hours away from where you

live, I can give you the name.

Take care,

Kim

> Sorry for the delay in getting back to the group. I've been really

busy around here. My appt. on Jan. 23rd went like this.....

> Dr. Sukerman had a look at my CT-scan films, and showed my husband

and I the films. (the other Dr. didn't show us them by the way) he

had 4 pages with approx.. 8-12 pictures on each page. Out of all

those pictures he had only found one picture that showed any kind of

a gray area. He then said to us that because there is only the one

picture showing anything at all, he's not entirely sure that it is a

C-toma at all. I said to him, " but I have all the symptoms? " , he

says " ok, u tell me what the symptoms are? " . So, I go on to tell him

that I've got the dizziness, ear infections, clicking, and so on. He

says " ok, dizziness is not a symptom of C-toma, more then likely

it's caused from something else. Ear infections, he asked me, " how

many ear infections have u had that u can remember? " . I believe

it's 4 really bad ones. Clicking in the ear, " is caused from jaw

bones " . I asked him what he thought it could be. He said that it

could be (spelling) Scaumus Epithlial (hope someone here knows the

right spelling for this?) or it could very well be a very, very

small C-toma. So he tells me he's going to have a look in my ear.

While doing so, he says that all he can see is a corner of

something. So, he tells me his going to clean out the ear of wax.

Well, in-turn I freaked out mildly when he came at me with these

skinny long metal things to put in my ear :( He tried 2 times,

then told me that I'm going to have to get used to him poking things

into my ear because of the post-op appt's with cleaning. He gave me

a prescription for Sofracort drops 3 drops at bedtime to soften up

the wax, and come back on Feb, 06. for a follow-up appt. and he will

try again.

> Two days later I went to see my family Dr. told her about the ear

cleaning episode, she prescribed Apo -Lorazepam 1mg. to take 20-40

minutes before my next appt. with Dr. Sukerman. Has anyone else in

the group had this medication for this problem? Also, she said that

the dizziness is not cause from the C-toma, it could be caused from

Hypoglycemia, low blood pressure, and anemia which all I have. So

that's how the appt. went this time.
