Hey Kathy, happened to me as well, only on one eye though. Doctor informed me that it was most likely do to my eye partially opening during surgery. All is fine now however iam due for the recon surgery in March and i am going to bring that up before they put me under this time. Hope it all works out for you yankeesfan1013 <BSORules@...> wrote: Hi, Everyone,After my second surgery (12/12/05) on my left ear, I woke up withextrememly irritated eyes. I could hardly keep them open and kept ontearing. After a day, the right eye was fine. However, the left eyetook a few weeks to stop being irritated and tearing. It stillsometimes feels like something is in it and it tears. I even have sometrouble focusing, and it doesn't matter whether I am

wearing myglasses or contacts. I asked the dr twice about it, and he told me hehad no idea why my eye was bothering me. He said my eyes werecompletely covered during surgery. Has this ever happened to anyone? Thanks,Kathy
