Hi,

Spoke with Larry's doc in Portland today and guess what? We will be

in Portland on Friday at 1pm. He wants to see him as soon as

possible and when I tried to put it off just a week he told me no.

Doctors just don't understand that you can't always just drop what

you are doing and drive from one end of the state to the other. I

was and still am in shock that we have to be in Portland in a day and

a half. I feel like I am falling apart. I had a major anxiety

attack and hyperventilated for the first time in awhile. Just don't

know how much we can take.

Hi Michele,

Unbelievable! Was it your local doctor that removed the packing

yesterday? I guess he called the Portland doctor. I'm impressed

with both doctors for their fast action. From things you've said, I

really feel like you can trust this Portland doctor to know what is

best. Maybe he can do something quick to prevent something worse

from happening.

Good Luck and Best Wishes,

Hi ,

Yes, it was our local doctor who removed the packing,

treating the infection with drops. He scheduled an

appointment to see Larry in 2 weeks. I was the one

who called Larry's doctor in Portland (our local

doctor and our Portland doctor have NEVER spoke once

about Larry. He was in surgery but his nurse emailed

him and he emailed her right back saying he needed to

see Larry right away. My chin hit the floor. I

stuttered, couldn't think, made no sense. Just can't

believe it. Dealing with 2 doctors is getting more

confusing by the day, considering they haven't even

spoke. I'm wondering if one doc would call the other

and discuss what happened yesterday maybe we wouldn't

have to go to Portland just yet. Everytime we have to

make a long trip I have to call my brother to take us

because we don't have a reliable car and I feel like a

burden to him. I never dreamed I would have to call

him on a Wednesday and tell him that Larry needs to be

in Portland Friday at one pm. I don't know what I

would do without my brother. He always says no

problem. Don't worry about it. Well, I do. He has

an annual fishing trip that he takes with his buddies

that was paid for last year and it is either this

weekend or next. I asked him if I was messing with a

fishing trip and he wouldn't tell me. I just feel

like such a burden. We're adults and should be able

to take care of ourselves and we could if all of this

wasn't going on. Thanks for the best wishes and luck.

We really need it. I sincerely don't know how much

more either one of us can take.
